I like to say my style of photographing is a happy marriage between documentary and fine art. My editing style is true to life, and most of all, true to emotion.

If you’re looking for a photographer who has a cookie-cutter editing style for all of their sessions no matter what the lighting or conditions on that given day were, we’re probably not the best fit. I hand touch every photo rather than applying the same filter or preset to everything. I pride myself in my ability to treat each wedding or session as it’s own unique piece of artwork, and to edit your photos in the way I feel they appear best, rather than forcing your photos to conform to a style that may suck the life out of them. Sometimes I lean more dark and moody, and other times, I lean into lighter edits. It’s all about what the images call for, and I’m always happy to take into account your stylistic preferences if you have requests.

Funny you should ask! I have lived within 30 minutes of DC my entire life, up until last summer when my partner and I moved from Alexandria, VA to Southern Maryland (about an hour away from DC or 45 minutes from Alexandria, VA). I grew up in Montgomery County and have spent time all over the DMV, making a home in many areas. I also really enjoy photographing in Richmond & the mountains of Virginia, so don’t feel like you have to live around the corner from me to work together. With that being said, I do offer a special rate for sessions held at my home in Charles County, MD in spring, summer, and fall, so if you’re local to the area, let’s be friends!

Together, we will formulate a plan that best suits your proposal moment. Where and how you will be proposing will determine whether I will be hiding in plain sight among other folks, or REALLY hiding... like in a bush somewhere. On the day of the proposal, I will send you a text when I’m heading to the location, and another text once I’m set and ready. If you have an iPhone, we can share our location with each other to ensure additional location accuracy. From there, it’s your time to shine! After booking, I will also send over a list of best practices and pro tips to make your proposal smooth and easy!
